The Midwestern Legislative Conference presented a six-part webinar series highlighting some of the institutional and policy challenges facing the region’s lawmakers as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. State and provincial legislators, legislative staff, executive branch officials, and interested stakeholders convened for a series of presentations and conversations focusing on some of the long-term impacts and future challenges confronting Midwestern states and provinces in the wake of the continuing pandemic.

Preparing for the 2020 Elections & Beyond

Held on June 11, 2020, this webinar focused on best practices for holding elections during the pandemic; the use of newly available federal grants by Midwestern states; and steps to ensure a safe, fair elections process in November and beyond.
