In conjunction with the 78th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC), the MLC Midwest-Canada Relations Committee will hold its 2024 Meeting on Sunday, July 21, in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to traditional committee business, this meeting will include a) a presentation on American and Canadian incentives to manufacture and purchase electric vehicles (EV), and b) a roundtable discussion on a wide variety of topics pertinent to the Midwest-Canada relationship.
Before the committee meeting kicks off, committee members and invited guests will have a dinner and reception on Saturday, July 20, hosted by the Detroit Consulate General of Canada to the United States. Finally, the committee will also host a committee-sponsored session on Tuesday, July 23, that will demonstrate how law enforcement officials and organizations on both sides of the border collaborate and share information to create safer communities in Canada and the U.S.
