2023 MLC Health & Human Services Committee Meeting

In conjunction with the 77th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC) in Detroit, the MLC Health & Human Services Committee will meet on Sunday, July 9, and hold a stand-alone policy session on Monday, July 10. The July 9 meeting — open to all MLC Annual Meeting attendees — will include a presentation on evidence-based approaches that improve child welfare and keep more families together.

The committee also will host a session for all MLC Annual Meeting attendees on Monday, July 10, titled “Road to Recovery: A Path Toward Evidence-Based Policies and Investments to Better Address Substance Abuse Disorder.” Led by an expert-led panel, participants will explore policy and financing principles that improve access to treatment options and help individuals with substance abuse disorder.
