2023 MLC Midwest-Canada Relations Committee Meeting

In conjunction with the 77th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC), the MLC Midwest-Canada Relations Committee will hold its 2023 meeting on Sunday, July 9, in Detroit. In addition to traditional committee business, this meeting will include a presentation on irregular border crossings; for example, human trafficking, illegal drug trade, information sharing, etc.

The committee will also host a general attendance session on Tuesday, July 11, on “U.S.-Canada Federal Relations and their Importance to the Midwest.” Session panelists discuss how our two nations interact and cooperate at the federal legislative level, how these interactions affect states and provinces in our region, and how state and provincial legislators can become and stay involved.
