2025 Legislative Ag Chairs Summit in Des Moines

This bipartisan event brings together the nation’s legislators and other key leaders to explore policies related to agriculture, natural resources and the needs of rural communities. Hosted by State Agriculture and Rural Leaders, or SARL, the summit gets support from The Council of Governments and the National Conference of State Legislatures. It will be held Jan. 3-5, 2025, in Des Moines.

State legislators began the summit  in 2002. SARL, as an organization, was formed in 2006 specifically for state agricultural legislators from across the United States; it then grew to include elected officials from Canada’s provinces as well.

SARL is dedicated to promoting and fostering cooperation, leadership and educational opportunities. The annual Legislative Ag Chairs Summit is an unparalleled bipartisan event designed specifically to provide elected leaders with the opportunity to network, learn about emerging issues and develop policy solutions.
