2025 MLC Economic Development & Infrastructure Committee Meeting

In conjunction with the 79th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Legislative Conference in Saskatoon, Sask., the MLC Economic Development & Infrastructure Committee will meet and lead policy sessions. The MLC Annual Meeting will be held July 27-30.

During the committee-led sessions, participating legislators will explore advances in broadband policy and deployment, as well as learn ideas for addressing concerns about housing affordability and accessibility in states and provinces across this region. This year’s MLC Annual Meeting also will include other sessions focused on the impact of Canada-U.S. trade on the region’s economy

The MLC Economic Development & Infrastructure Committee meets at least once a year as part of the MLC Annual Meeting, most recently in Columbus, Ohio, in 2024 and Detroit in 2023. Other committee-led activities include hosting webinars and in-person workshops for legislators, developing policy resources and providing individualized research assistance.
