Early Intervention: Evidence-Based Pathways for Youth Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (Webinar)
The statistics are alarming: today’s teens face higher rates of mental health challenges and reported suicidal thoughts than any generation in decades. In this webinar, leading experts in youth mental health will explore how policymakers can translate evidence-based research into tangible strategies.
The featured presenters on this webinar will be Dr. Matthew K. Nock, Edgar Pierce Professor of Psychology at Harvard University; and Dr. Lena Heilmann, Director of the Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention. This webinar is being offered through a partnership of The Council of State Governments, the CSG Midwestern Legislative Conference Health & Human Services Committee, and the AAAS Center for Scientific Evidence in Public Issues. Illinois Rep. Joyce Mason, a member of the MLC committee, will serve as moderator. Topics to be covered include:
