Rural Health Transformation Program: Policy, Oversight and Emerging State Strategies (Webinar)

The accelerated rollout of the Rural Health Transformation Program has created both opportunities and challenges for state policymakers. This webinar provided an overview of how states are approaching implementation, oversight, and emerging strategies such as alternative payment models and value-based payment.

Designed for legislators and legislative staff, and open to all, this learning opportunity was co-hosted by the Midwestern Legislative Conference Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee and Health & Human Services Committee. The featured speakers included Zil Joyce Dixon Romero, senior state government affairs manager at the National Rural Health Association; and Keith Mueller, director of the Rural Policy Research Institute at the University of Iowa.
