Hosted by the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Legislative Caucus, The Council of State Governments’ Midwestern Legislative Conference and the AAAS Center for Scientific Evidence in Public Issues, this webinar will cover the economics of data centers and key considerations for state policymakers: revenue generation, job creation and more.

Data center development is increasing rapidly across the country with implications for economic development as well as infrastructure strain and sustainability. Webinar participants will explore how data centers impact energy and water infrastructure planning, and how such considerations differ across regions of the United States. One focus will be an analysis of the impacts of data centers on states in the Great Lakes region. Experts will discuss models for building cross-sector collaborations to ensure responsible data center growth.
