2021 MLC Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee Meeting

The MLC’s Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee met in July 2021 in conjunction with the 75th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Legislative Conference.
The committee held a series of events: site visits to a bison ranch, the Cleghorn Fish Hatchery, and the Game, Fish and Parks Outdoor Campus; and policy sessions on cybersecurity threats in agriculture and state strategies to bolster vocational education. In addition, as part of the MLC Chair’s Initiative of South Dakota Senate Majority Leader Gary Cammack, a plenary session was held on innovations in agricultural land conservation.
