Participants in this webinar learned about policy options for state leaders in building budgets and developing fiscal plans that account for the rising costs of natural disasters, enable a timely response, and help mitigate costs.
The Council of State Governments and The Pew Charitable Trusts partnered on this event. It featured presentations by Trina Sheets, executive director of the National Emergency Management Association; Peter Muller, senior officer for The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Managing Fiscal Risks Project; Massachusetts Sen. Jo Comerford; and Ahna Minge, Minnesota assistant commissioner for budget services and state budget director.
